I first discovered Jeanette Winterson in collage, and I didn’t really get it. Reading her at 18 and it’s just too much, especially in a Theatre Arts class. I then had to read Oranges Are Not The Only Fruit at uni in first year and I loved it. However, I have only just decided to read a book of hers out of choice today. I found Written On The Body in Winchester Catherdral book market at about 3pm, it’s now 3am, I’ve done a lot in between and I’m already half way through. She’s just wonderful.
